I find most Texas beans to be really boring but I fell in love with Pecan Lodge’s Jalapeno beans. I tried to make something similar and came up with something completely different but pretty good. Not bad for my first go at beans.
- 1 pound Homemade Apple Wood Bacon or any bacon
- 1 pound Pinto Beans
- 2 cups Chicken Broth
- 1/2 cup Jalapeno, canned
- 1/4 cup Ketchup
- 1/4 cup BBQ Sauce
- 1 Onion, finely diced
- 1 canTomatoes, diced
- 1/4 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire Sauce
- 3 Tbsp Spicy Mustard
- 2 Tbsp Garlic Powder
- 1 Tbsp Chili
- 1 Tbsp Chipotle Powder
- 1 Tbsp Smoked Paprika
- 1 Tbsp Black Pepper
- 1 tsp Liquid Smoke
