After a huge lunch at Elmira and grazing through happy hour for six hours, we end up at Rich Table. There are so many great restaurants in San Francisco that often times they just become a blur or hype and you’re usually left a bit unsatisfied after waiting a month or two for reservations. Rich Table even after an entire bottle of champagne and not being hungry at the start of the meal was quite memorable.
My eating buddy terrified me as he ordered 12 plates between two people but the balance of acidity and flavors was spot on. You never felt overwhelmed (even with 12 plates) and your palate was left clean after every bite.
Unfortunately I was too inebriated to remember to bring a menu or take good pictures. Guess I couldn’t sit still from being too full and drunk.

Forgot to take a picture of the desert. It was chocolate donuts with plum gelato. Gelato was really good. Looking back the photos, I think I was too full and drunk to really know if it’s worth a month wait. Looking back on these pictures reminds me of how uncomfortable and miserable I was at dinner.
