I was never a huge fan of cinnamon raisin bread but this recipe is quite good. This is the lazy version since I didn’t feel like making cinnamon sugar and alternating it. I just dumped it into the batter and personally think it tastes better.
- 8 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 4 cups Sugar
- 1 Tbsp Baking Powder
- 2 tsp Salt
- 4 cups Buttermilk
- 4 Eggs
- 1 cup Butter
- 1 cup Raisin
- 6 tsp Cinnamon
1. Cream butter and sugar in mixer stand. Add eggs individually.
2. Mix flour, salt and baking powder. Add to batter alternating with buttermilk.
3. Fold in raisins and cinnamon. Do not over mix after adding cinnamon to keep the ribbons.
4. Grease loaf pans and fill. Bake 350 55-60 minutes. Cool on rack.
