Bacon, Cheese & Habanero Bread

This recipe was way too much effort and definitely need to remove the seeds because it was TOO HOT. Bread is a pain without a bread maker.

Ingredients of bread:

  • 2½ cups bread flour
  • 4 Tbsp sugar
  • 1tsp salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1tbsp milk powder
  • ½cup milk
  • 1/2 cup Roux
  • 2 tsp instant yeast
  • 3tbsp butter

First start with 1/3 cup of bread flour and 1 cup of milk.  Cook over medium heat till you can see ribbons.  Cool and bring to room temperature.

I sliced the rolls in half and filled two loaf pans. Allow to rise for 45 minutes. Egg wash and bake 25-30 minutes.
